San Fransisco, I love you! We had such a wonderful time tagging along on my husband’s business trip to San Fran. Everybody was right, we absolutely adored it. It was also critical that we hit it off, more on that later ;). It reminded me so much of Seattle. Any resemblance to that city and I am automatically smitten. When you have kids in tow you find things to keep them entertained so of course we visited the very touristy attractions because those are guaranteed to be good times. Pier 39 and Alcatraz did not disappoint. The weather was limiting but a little gray skies and a light rain were perfectly inviting.
Helping get off that high of a great week was the wicked stomach virus we picked up while traveling. We were all viciously ill from every symptom possible! I text my friend “Help Me, What do I do??” as my 7-year-old vomited all over our sofa. It wasn’t pretty, folks. Luckily, I have that friend I can always reach out to because they’ve dealt with this and they’ve handled it and they’ve got answers. Mama friends are the best! My kids have been sick separately, maybe once overlapped but never have all three of us have fallen ill at the same time. It was a challenging week but I am so glad its over!! The only traces left are the piles and piles of towels and bedding that await in the laundry room. Laundry, how I loathe you!!
Before I left, I scoured several stores in search of fun and exciting toys to pack for our lengthy flight. I hit up Target and found endless possibilities of cute little entertaining stuff for the boys. Thanks to this great mama blogger, denim and fringe, for the wonderful suggestions and tips on traveling with little ones. I swiped the Target $1 aisle clean and stocked up for the flight and Easter. I also scored with a little something for myself. I always take a minute or two to do a quick zig zag through the womens dept. I picked up a denim midi button down skirt for just $25. The longer length and higher waist was exactly the right fit for the trend. I tucked in a slimmer striped boat neck I snagged on sale and done! Its a stylish look for any day but mostly its fuss free, as a mama who know what the day will bring.
