Anytime you place the word ‘casual’ in front of dress you know what it means, jeans. Thank goodness for all laid-back denim appropriate attire for any girls night, party, or date! I know it’s easier for me to roll on out if I can pick out a whole casual look that starts with jeans. Even if you would reach for that dress in your closet, consider styling your favorite pair of jeans this season with some fun heels and a blouse for a chic and effortless look that is both easy and totally festive.
I normally would not consider a plaid blouse. However, a plaid button down is a different story. This top from J.Crew changed that thought. The simple silhouette played up with a shoulder to shoulder ruffle was charming and detailed. J.Crew is so good that way, by targeting trends, in this case the off the shoulder. Always staying true to their form this blouse is a fun and functional cut. Plus the colors couldn’t be anymore holiday!
Luckily, I already had this entire outfit put together in my head. The velvet heels I purchased a few weeks ago came from Target. You will hear me swoon about Target a lot because in reality I do buy a lot of pieces from there. This strappy pair is from the new WhoWhatWear shoe collection. Translation, they are under $40. I flipped when I got a glimpse of their new shoe collection. I’m not exaggerating. Once I layed eyes on them online I needed to own them. I must have refreshed the shoe page atleast 20 times a day to see if my size was restocked. I am not kidding when I express my immediate obsession for an item of clothes, shoes or bags.
The shoes finally arrived and they did not disappoint. Plush velvet with the prettiest ankle bow tie is possibly my favorite shoe to date. If you live anywhere a lot chiller than our 50’s degree weather, I would suggest a velvet closed toe pair or blocked heel ankle bootie. I’m going to insist with the velvet because not only is it huge this season but it always looks ultra luxe!
Thank you so much for reading this post!
